MAXIMUM Overwatch - Definitive Overwatch Science and Fun!

hello everyone and welcome to the next character maximum and it's time for Farah who incidently has given me rare footage of what her visor shows her when she's in missions and seeing the world so I think this is a good insight into just how she functions and talking of how she functions it's honestly well it's ridiculous you're going to like this one let's land and do this thing let's rocket with her rocket launcher but we'll find out how far it can launch her in a bit the actual area R effects then is surprisingly very accurately represented by the explosion though it's somewhat difficult to see from this perspective however from a nice side camera that's going to be really weird if you don't get the reference it just seems like I have a really weird fetish involving cameras angle to the side maybe I do either way observe the explosion animation the very extremity at which it fades out is the maximum range that it can affect you also very curiously there is some weird ways of it detecting if it will hit you despite the animation clearly visually encompassing the hog it doesn't hit them and why is that well seemingly if you can't draw a line Twix the center of the explosion and the intended target it simply won't hit them and as far as knockback [Music] goes yo so with a hit that's as close as you can get without being direct you're going to get wrecked no you're not really you only go about 3 and a half M away or half a tracer blink though way closest you can get Splash hit does do 80 damage and given that she fires one rocket every 0.8 seconds it's a good solid 100 Splash DPS however the tapering is very extreme it goes to 26 missiles needed to kill a hog at maximum damage range and the knockback at this distance is well rather amusing cuz it's useless it just kind of bounced his people up and down and really the only tangible use for something like that is a last minute replacement for the castle that failed to arrive when Pharaoh was organizing her child's birthday party but then again do you want to shoot rockets at kids obviously not there's way too many witnesses at a birthday party all right then if we talk direct hits things get a lot better for Farah 120 a pop which is very nice this means that one Direct Hit coupled with a close Splash will kill a lot of characters this also lets faroh with perfect distribution of Splash and direct hits across a team reach just over 600 AOE DPS which is definitely a number you can save yourself with the knockback against the Reinhardt charge but more importantly we need to get between 12 Farah's legs because the hitbox on this thing is rather interesting the concussion blast is very very thin and nicely weaves underneath however the missile well it's got a little bit of the log syndrome and can't even make it past the first Farah and now for some reaction time because I think that's very important Farah has to get this close to you before an average human's reaction time can't keep up with the speed of the missile which means that it's actually fairly slow either that or this science helper came into work drunk again I never know with these people moving on to a little bit of Parkour then because rocket jumping un surprisingly something Farah is very good at her rocket can blast her off again and again and again with the same speed and ferocity of bastion's tank form so that's very not useful at all because the character can [ __ ] fly however the concussion blast is definitely not as good it's got a lot more horizontal to it and speed but in terms of height it just can't do a lot but what it can do is get to one of the greatest things in all of OverWatch introducing the warp gate to go to go f [Music] to and this is achieved because Farah's knockback is quite frankly superlative it is explosively fast and has some serious range and kick to it it can only be rivaled in fact in terms of sheer knockback speed by Diva ulty but obviously the Ferro blast is a lot more condensed and it just ah it's so much fun to mess around with it really really is the actual technicalities of the blast then are interesting it can affect you from roughly a tracer blink away and will knock you back roughly a tracer blink away so that's it's kind of nice and tidy you will also get knocked back the same amount no matter how close to the epicenter of the blast you are except for if you are perfectly on the edge and then it will just bounce you up and down much like the Rockets were doing earlier it's a very quirky thing in OverWatch how explosive knockback things work when you are on the very extremity of its effective area and then a quick bit of mass the Reinhard that goes in the beam and travels along this path takes 0.333 seconds to do so and we can work out the distance that he traveled during this fairly easily because we know that a Genji Dash is two Tracer blinks and we know that a tracer blink is 7 m or go Genji Dash is 14 M and it takes us exactly three Genji dashes to get to where Reinhardt impacted with the wall which gives us a grand total of four 48 M which means given that he traveled that in a third of a second he is traveling at 128 m/ second which is just shy of 300 mph or just over half the speed of a passenger plane so far is obviously the flying character so how fast can she fly well she can't fly that fast when you think about the fact that she's flying and flying tends to be quite fast Genji can outspeed her massively with the dash it's not even funny even if you go for the Conch blast fly Dash you still can't really keep up with him things get more interesting when we talk jetpack speed you will always drift through the air at the speed that Tracer runs even if you started faster or slower you'll accelerate or decelerate to that speed and then keep going forever as long as you hover if you try and move by just using your Rockets it's going to look very embarrassingly awkwardly slow and you're going to kill yourself but if you do a little bit of Rocket J jumping you actually go Fairly speedily interestingly if concussion blast had no cool down you can actually keep up with a Reinhard but enough enough talking about the other stuff it's time for the ultimate how long do you think it's going to take for six Ferris to kill these six reinh hearts I give you a bit of time to guess two seconds yes Farah ult is obscene it is the highest DPS ability in the game killing a roadhog in just half a second this gives it 12200 DPS which is just ridiculous do you know how tranquil you need to be to survive this ability four times as tranquil as a single Zenyatta hell even Farah needs two zenyas on her team to keep her tranquil or she'll [ __ ] kill herself it is just ridiculous in fact how deep do you think one Farah can penetrate into this Reinhard row well the answer is not very far at all actually it's kind of anticlimactic and the reason for that is revealed when we look at what's actually happening here because I have nothing better to do with my life I counted how many missiles Farah fires the answer is 90 each one doing 40 damage this totals 3,600 over the 3 seconds the ulti takes to complete which in theory sounds great but that's only one and a half a little bit over Reinhardt Shields and because of the insane cone shaped spread that keeps widening and the insane Randomness as to where the missiles actually go the DPS and even anything but point blank is very unreliable which is why it's surprisingly difficult to get a very good phah ult off I mean the good news is you can get this ult instantly by being a little bit cheeky with some knockback which makes her a very very quick ultimate achiever and you can also get 16 kills in one play of the game as Farah which is absolutely amazing that is one of the upper echelons of the record book so with all of that said then I'd close your windows and find some fortifications cuz there's a storm coming legitimately what about your day-to-day life would be improved by your ability to see through walls where people are oh many many things imagine like imagine how good of a thief you could be if you could do that yeah I'm not saying you could be not be an amazing Thief but are you a thief Dino yes no but like yeah but you're saying your life would be improved yeah it would cuz I could do something else I'm saying I might be a thief if I could see through walls I'm saying if I could see through walls like not specifically being a thief because I wouldn't really want to do that but there's a lot of things you could do that I wouldn't normally be able to do like what being aief about the effectivess like a hostage negotiator if you could see where the criminals and hostages were in the building I don't think that would actually help though I think it would be extremely helpful yeah yeah but if you have the superpower to see through walls I don't think you'd you know pursue a prestigious career in hostage negotiation you think I would do you think I just nothing that's the point it doesn't really help it's just kind of NE it doesn't if you suddenly tomorrow getting the ability to see through a wall you would quit World of Warcraft I didn't say i' quit World of Warcraft exactly thing but yeah I think it would happen yeah you think think you'd go outside more yeah I could see but outside there's there's less walls to see through that's not true there's more walls there's only four walls in my house yeah but they're right next to you whereas outside you have to travel to the walls yeah but then I can also like avoid people purposefully cuz I know where they are before I turn the corner so you'd use the power seeing through walls to be socially awkward are you saying you wouldn't Josh well no I think it would be right you could definitely definitely avoid a lot of situations I mean it depends on the kind of super if I suddenly have the superpowers of a ketonian I think I would descend the world into a total no yeah but I wouldn't be like Goody Two I'd be dictator so you're saying if we had one of those weird cooky coincidences where our friend group all got superpowers you'd be the one that would turn evil and we'd have to stop in an emotional climactic battle I think you're severely underestimating the my power you underestimate my power my power underestimate my power like if you had superpowers like right now no would have lie if I could just F I'd be right over to America right into the White House and boom I would sort out that issue in a s out that issue real quick by the way I have four people at their spawn just chasing me around so if you guys can't the there's no one at the point I know they're all there if I was legitimately Invincible then I would just like jump off of buildings all day for fun to see people's reactions but then you'd be like I kind of want to go home and play video games well yeah no like I wouldn't do it like every single day you just wake up every morning until you go to sleep throwing yourself off buildings imagine the type of construction jobs you could get if you were Invincible too that seems like the most terrible use all right mate what are your qualifications to work on this yard I'm invincible and I got super strength for the last five hours or not five five minutes the last five hours the five hours talking about how we got superpowers you wouldn't make any major changes in how it to help you in your day-to-day life I'm offering you a valid way that day suddenly become a builder cuz I got super strength when gifted with Divine powers of strength why would you want to be a builder what else are you going to do with it there's not exactly a that's what I'm saying there's not much that would happen if you got super villains in this I tell so I tell you the awesome superpower things I want to do and you say n you too normal person for that I tell you I want to do a normal person thing you're just like n you do too many superhero things what do you want from me Josh besides you you haven't mentioned the one superpower everyone really wants in that super speed super
