The Prophet ﷺ said that before the Hour, time would shrink, deeds would shrink, greed would grow and tribulations would spread, and that harj would increase. His Companions (ra) asked what harj was. He answered with one word, twice: killing. In another narration he said a day would come when the killer does not know why he kills and the one killed does not know why he dies.
