The group consisted of four childhood friends who grew up together and attended school in the South of France: Bruce Yates, Arthur Yates, Thomas Edwards, and Luca Galbiati. Their music was celebrated for its grand, atmospheric soundscapes that combined traditional indie-folk elements - like deep vocal harmonies and raw acoustic textures - with a widescreen, percussion-heavy rock energy reminiscent of bands like WU LYF and Mumford & Sons. Their first and only full-length album, We Fam Econo, was produced by legendary BBC Maida Vale engineer Miti Adhikari (who worked with Nirvana and Radiohead) and recorded over a intense 10-day summer session inside an old working chapel in Wales. The echo-heavy acoustics of the church walls heavily shaped the album's signature booming, spiritual aesthetic. Their standout track, "Ava", found widespread popularity online, partially fuelled by its dark, emotional lyrics masked beneath an uplifting, festival-ready chorus. The song gained a massive second wave of global listeners years later through viral features, television syncs (such as MTV's Teen Wolf), and audio trends on social media platforms.
