Todd Smith, the father of Ashley Flynn, took the stand and discussed the day his daughter died in February 2026. He stated that when he got the call about his daughter’s death, it didn’t make sense that someone would go into the house and shoot her but not take anything if it was a break-in. He also stated that he did a Google search on “Can a Christian man snap and shoot and kill his wife?” Smith also said that “this really doesn’t look good on Caleb” but put that thought away so he could help his wife get through this.
