In 2019, deaths and serious injuries were up by over 1000 people to a staggering 27,500. With 3 million dashcams now in our vehicles, Britain’s Dangerous Drivers (w/t) features footage revealing some of Britain’s worst driving offenders. Drink and drug driving are up, speeding violations have recently tripled, but the biggest impact is coming from those small momentary lapses in concentration. Across Britain police forces are fighting back. We join Cheshire Police on some of the country’s most dangerous roads, as they deal with suspected drug drivers, stolen vehicles and banned motorists. And they give chase to one of the UK’s fastest speeders. We join PC Rich Woodward as he follows a potentially dangerous driver about to take to the roads. PC Mike Clark responds to a 10 car vehicle and HGV smash on the M6 and in Warrington, PC Niaz Waddington is on patrol when an ANPR camera picks up a suspected stolen white van on the move on the motorway. In his unmarked vehicle he covertly follows it into the Liverpool suburbs, but with vans being used in violent crimes, he’s on high alert. On a late night patrol, Inspector Anton Sullivan picks up a suspected disqualified driver and back on the M6, PC Rich Woodward is on patrol in his unmarked car when a speeding BMW flies past him. He gives chase but with his car at its maximum speed of 159mph, he is still not gaining on the car. Finally, in sleepy Sandbach, PC Vicky Howell is on patrol when she spots a suspicious young driver who bumps into a traffic island.
