EE613: High-frequency analog circuit design (2025)

This course focuses on the design of single and multi-stage opamps, focusing on non-idealities like noise, mismatch, non-linearity, an analog designer encounters in practice. Instructor: R. S. It is established that, for "small" signals, a MOS transistor behaves like a voltage-controlled current source irrespective of the region of its operation. Comparison of small signal parameters in strong inversion and linear region explains why is it preferred to not operate a transistor in linear region. Pros & cons of operating in strong inversion and weak inversion is touched upon.
