Today I'm going to attempt to solve the Hinomaru Puzzle. this was an exchange puzzle by long-time Puzzle Exchange participant Pavel Curtis at IPP21, held in Tokyo in 2001. The object of the puzzle is to place the 12 two-sided dominoes in the tray to form a picture of the Japanese flag. The solution is unique.
