Breadtube likes to blame Capitalism for Government Corruption and then propose Socialism as the solution. The facts show exactly the opposite to be true. It is also part of a common 3 part grift that Socialists pull: 1. Identify problem. 2. Blame Capitalism. 3. Promote Socialism. This is always a grift, and always comes with either a lack of evidence, highly skewed "facts", or just flat out poor rationality. To show this, I bring you the 7th episode of my refuting Breadtube series focused on Second Thought, who puts out this type of argument on a regular basis. Why he is wrong on this also shows why the only viable solution to a corrupt State is to take power away from the State. This episode of Refuting Breadtube is partially a collab with @LiquidZulu Second Thought videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srfeHpQNEAI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3U6rhWT-QE ======LINKS====== All My Links: https://linktr.ee/mentiswave If you want to leave me a tip / support my content: https://ko-fi.com/mentiswave Follow me on Twitter for channel updates and general bantz: https://twitter.com/MentisWave My Discord: https://t.co/KenGzxdjDm Odysee Backup: https://odysee.com/@MentisWave:a Rumble Backup: https://rumble.com/c/c-1243074 ================= Music: Dark Versus Light - Alternative MetalBy TeknoAXE - http://www.gab.ai/teknoaxe CC 4.0 License SOURCEDUMP: ========================================== Permits to open a restaurant https://pos.toasttab.com/blog/on-the-line/licenses-and-permits-required-open-new-restaurant Sunlight Foundation Study https://sunlightfoundation.com/2014/11/17/fixed-fortunes-biggest-corporate-political-interests-spend-billions-get-trillions/ Mises wire on Lobbying https://mises.org/wire/why-big-business-prefers-lobbying-government-competing-marketplace Regulators trade stocks in the agencies they oversee https://blog.tenthamendmentcenter.com/2022/10/federal-regulatory-corruption/ Facebook wants regulation to kill future competition https://cei.org/opeds_articles/facebook-keeps-asking-for-regulation-that-would-crush-its-competition/ Mattel uses regulation to gain advantage over small toymakers https://reason.com/2009/08/31/law-passed-after-mattel-toy-sc/?itm_source=parsely-api& How government creates monopolies https://www.capitalism.com/government-create-monopolies/ More evidence that regulations hurt small business https://www.uschamberfoundation.org/blog/post/regulations-impact-small-business-and-heart-americas-economy Regulation doesn't fix Monopolies https://mises.org/library/antitrust-and-monopoly-0 https://mises.org/library/fear-monopoly Countries by Economic Freedom: https://www.fraserinstitute.org/studies/economic-freedom-of-the-world-2022-annual-report Vox on Princeton study https://www.vox.com/2016/5/9/11502464/gilens-page-oligarchy-study Regulations have increased over time: https://www.quantgov.org/visualizations-of-rd-32 US Government size has increased over time: https://tribpapers.com/archive/2021/07/civic/government-spending-conservatively-half-the-economy/29362/ Big Business loves regulations: https://www.cato.org/policy-report/july/august-2006/big-business-big-government# https://www.adamsmith.org/blog/regulation-industry/of-course-big-business-loves-regulation https://reason.com/2021/07/07/how-big-business-uses-big-government-to-kill-competition/ Socialism in Practice: https://www.asianstudies.org/publications/eaa/archives/tombstone-the-great-chinese-famine-1958-1962/ https://www.nknews.org/2015/10/why-north-korea-is-so-corrupt-and-why-that-may-be-good/ https://fee.org/articles/chile-is-thriving-so-why-is-socialism-rising/ https://iea.org.uk/cuba-a-story-of-socialist-failure/
