Episode 9 — “Come Out and Play”: The Staten Island vampires head into the wilds of NYC vampire politics when they attend Baron Afanas’s big “Eternal Lifetime Achievement Award” ceremony. Guillermo gets left out, Nadja defends the Baron angrily, and things get murderous when Cravensworth’s Monster loses it and kills Jerry in full view. Suddenly the vamps are fugitives in their own kindred universe—evading rival clans, fighting through rules, bats, cemetery zombies, and coffee shop ambushes. Friendships are tested, old loyalties questioned, and secrets (including Nandor’s romantic hope with the Guide) bubble up under the pressure. Episode 10 — “The Promotion”: With the finale on the horizon, Guillermo finally feels like he might be stepping out of the shadows—or at least getting a little light on him. He’s excelling at Cannon Capital, gets set for a company party, invites the whole vamp crew, and hopes that finally the promotion he’s earned will materialize. But, of course, in What We Do in the Shadows fashion, things go sideways: pranks, power plays, Laszlo’s monster antics, Nadja burning bridges, and Jordan’s thinly veiled manipulation. Guillermo tries to stand up for himself, and Nandor shows he really does care, stepping in when it matters.
