The momentum created by simplifying services at a micro level has brought forth a new way of thinking at a more granular level; we call it “serverless”. We don’t know whether it’s going to replace microservices, but what we know for sure is that it’s changing the way we think of services ... especially servers. Serverless architectures promote the idea of no servers, but does this mean that soon we won’t have to think of running web servers on our own? Does NGINX play a role in this new architecture ? Is it so much more efficient for us to care about? To help us in our journey we'll use cloud serverless platforms, as well as open source solutions in order to look at some practical examples, and to draw some conclusions.
