Michael Proctor, the disgraced lead investigator in the Karen Read case, has been called to testify by attorneys for Myles King, who is accused of killing Marquis Simmons in 2021. His lawyers are looking to see whether Proctor acted appropriately, since he was the lead investigator in this case as well. Last week, Proctor arrived at court but the judge called off witness testimony, instead telling attorneys that the commonwealth and defense needed to meet to streamline documents so that the defense can make its argument in a clearer manner.
