Watch the official music video for “Starlight” by Muse, the acclaimed second single from their landmark 2006 album Black Holes and Revelations. One of the band’s most beloved and uplifting tracks, “Starlight” explores themes of distance, longing, and searching for connection across vast spaces. Featuring Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard, the song helped usher in a massive global era for Muse. Its iconic music video, directed by Paul Minor, shows the band performing atop decks of a giant cargo ship in the middle of Los Angeles harbor, surrounding themselves with flares and the open ocean to bring the song’s expansive, emotional atmosphere to life. Released as a single in 2006, “Starlight” became a major global hit, reaching top positions on alternative and rock charts worldwide and earning platinum certifications. The song remains one of Muse’s signature recordings, alongside alternative rock classics like “Uprising,” “Supermassive Black Hole,” “Knights of Cydonia,” “Time Is Running Out,” and “Plug In Baby.” Black Holes and Revelations marked a pivotal evolution in Muse's career, blending heavy riffs, space-rock synthesizers, and soaring pop melodies. Featuring hit singles like “Supermassive Black Hole,” “Knights of Cydonia,” and “Map of the Problematique,” the album solidified Muse as one of the defining stadium rock acts of the 2000s.
