Introduction to Computer Networking - Philip Levis and Nick McKeown | Stanford

Overall: Given that the MOOC is from 2012, it may be good, but i think you'll find better MOOCs on networks today. Best Parts: Interviews with industry people 23 hours, 18 minutes and 24 seconds

Currently Playing: BGP: Putting the "Inter" in Internet. Professor Jennifer Rexford, Princeton

Technical note: The beginning of the video where I introduce Jennifer was truncated and lost, and so I repeat the introductory remarks here. I interviewed Jennifer Rexford in October 2013 for our CS144 class: "An Introduction to Computer Networks" at Stanford University. Jennifer is one of the leading authorities on interdomain routing, BGP and routing in large networks. She worked at AT&T Research for almost 10 years, before joining the faculty at Princeton in 2005. Jennifer helped identify and then solve stability and convergence problems in BGP in the Internet. She helped AT&T scale and improve routing in their network using a more centralized routing control system, called RCP. Her work on "4D" helped lay the groundwork for what is now referred to as software defined networks (SDN). , and helped find solutions
