At age 16, Tasha was performing in a theatrical production of "The Wizard of Oz." During a scene change (and unbeknownst to Tasha), someone had removed the trap door on the stage. Tasha took a step backwards, fell more than 15 feet onto the concrete floor below and broke her neck. Doctors said she would be bound to a wheelchair and never walk again.
