This World Oceans Day, discover how Clipper Race teams are supporting vital ocean research through our partnership with the International Seakeepers Society. As the Clipper Race circumnavigates the globe, crews are collecting valuable scientific data from some of the most remote regions of the world's oceans. Using onboard data loggers, race teams contribute millions of depth soundings to Seabed 2030, a global initiative working to map the entire ocean floor by 2030. Beyond seabed mapping, Clipper Race participants also support a range of citizen science programmes, including marine debris monitoring, whale and dolphin observation projects, and shark conservation initiatives.
