Some only trade a Bid x Ask footprint. Others use delta profiles. There are plenty of ways to read orderflow. In this video I break down the two footprint charts I personally use together every day and why I think they complement each other so well. The first is a Bid x Ask footprint with a volume profile, which helps me see where participation is taking place throughout the auction. The second is a Bid x Ask footprint with a delta profile, which lets me quickly compare buying and selling pressure alongside price. Using both charts together helps me read effort versus result in real time. I can compare participation, delta, and price response much faster than if I relied on a single chart, making it easier to identify whether buyers or sellers are actually accomplishing something. This isn't the only way to trade orderflow, and I'm not saying you need both charts to become profitable. It's simply the combination I've found works best for how I interpret the auction and make execution decisions. If you're looking for a practical way to organize your footprint charts and better understand what they're actually showing you, this video should give you a few ideas you can incorporate into your own trading.
