In this Starship update, we examine the Flight 13 launch attempt that ended in an automatic abort after four Raptor engines failed to ignite on Booster 20 following deluge activation. We cover what is now known about the engine-out criteria breach, how the abort sequence differed from prior incidents, and SpaceX’s immediate steps to inspect the booster, replace engines, and prepare for the next flight. We also detail ongoing work at the production site, including stacking progress on Ship 42 and Ship 43 inside the Starfactory, Booster 21’s rollout to Massey’s for its cryogenic test campaign ahead of Flight 14, and structural testing on Booster 18.3 and the booster liquid oxygen landing tank.
