twig or the snap of a bone you hear thunderous footsteps crashing all around you swirling in the forest moving through the shadow of trees what is it what could it be it's your job to find out you're a forest ranger or I'm a forest ranger or something like that the forest ranger Services series are based on real life events and personal accounts of hikers The Narrative has been altered for entertainment purposes there are thousands of missing reports filed each year in the US National Parks many cases remain unex I guess we'll never know you are a wannabe aspiring reporter looking into missing hiker cases it was time to get serious about your career you applied for a job as a forest ranger to get a first hand account of the disappearances oh God we're in it well that was sudden and abrupt fascinating very spooky so what happens if I go this way oh wall never mind didn't want to go that way anyway let's go this way man now I got to get my eyes checked seems to be a lot of floaties oh oh okay I didn't think that I was going to be real about the thunderous footsteps swirling all around me is that a fog is that a fog rolling in oh my God oh my God it's a a twig this is uncharacteristically spooky what in the world oh it's a pig okay oh my God this is why I would never go into the woods without my bore Spear and I bet you are wondering my bore spear is not in the background yes it is if you can find it that means you survive if you can't you're going to get speared because let's be perfectly honest if you're alone in the woods and you got a spear you don't got nothing to worry about because any other animal you could probably take it out with a spear and if anyone sees you walking around with a spear they're not going to mess with you cuz you're the crazy person walking around in the woods with the [Music] spear or I am anyway so next time you're on the trail pay attention for me stomping around out there oh it's a false alarm what is happening I thought it you know I signed up to be a forest ranger I thought that they would have given me some orientation or something oh hi hello scared Potter oh I'm in a car now hey there night crawlers you're locked in with station five where the news takes a walk on the wild side I'm your man in the shadow have you guys heard about these missing hikers all over our national parks this isn't something you hear about anymore but check out the stats according to the latest data from the National Park Service around 1,000 to 2500 people go missing in national parks and Forest each year death valy Yellowstone Cascades uh all kinds of reports of missing people the numbers are massive I've got a few examples here one hiker found after days in the woods couldn't recall basic details about their hike or how they got lost now folks these aren't isolated incidents another displayed signs of acute paranoia are claiming they were being watched by unseen uh entities among the trees oh God interesting I don't think I was supposed to be able to go this way or at least I didn't think that I would be able to turn around and actually y I thought it was going to Invisible wall me but now that I'm facing this way I have to to pursue the mystery it's my investigative instincts my journalistic Integrity is telling me to go this way what is that what was that what is oh it's nothing it's a light I thought it was something o a little bit Offroad okay well this is strange that I'm able to go this way oh fascinating I didn't think that I would get anywhere oh excuse me pardon me pardon I don't like that hello evening what can I get you just grabbing some supplies I'm a new ranger I'm a new ranger in the area another one huh you guys are a dime a dozen what's that supposed to mean there's a new guy here just about every other month dot dot dot some people just don't last out out in the woods it can get a bit creepy you know dot dot dot I'm watching you you're watching me good God is that guy backwards that guy really looks backwards over there oh man he's got pretty eyes Okay well this was really fun why did I come here am I am I done now do I go home all right I'm going to my car thank you did I get supplies I don't know if I got supplies recent reports from the search and rescue teams highlight a puzzling train a significant number of those who are located after going missing in the wild often exhibit strange mental conditions we're talking about disorientation uh memory loss and in some cases H bizarre behavior oh that leaves resers medical professionals B but some of these disappearances just don't make any sense you got experienced hikers uh Forest workers Lumberjacks and even Rangers just about 5% of these missing people are never found um they just go missing without any Trace they search for these people for weeks and they find absolutely nothing now that's a staggering figure and it's got us wondering what exactly is happening out there in the wilderness what if I told you there's a secret experiment going on right under our noses um the government the shadowy figures in black suits they're uh what was that about that um also wasn't I here before I feel who's out there in the woods who's out there who's there well this is the spot where are you where where are you all right fine hide if you want to hide you're not going to escape from Dragon had resorted to desperate measures the evidence of his ordeal was written in the mutilated flesh of his own fingers chew and Nod and a desperate bit for sustenance wow this sucker in his own fingers the must have been out of his mind it's your turn you won never get out of these that's an odd song um all right well that couldn't have been about me surely not oh there's a billboard that I've never seen cuz I've been going the uh H I don't know what that was I probably shouldn't Park onto the red spot who's in the WS looking at me oh I love what you've done with the place allow me to spray you with mace okay in Shadows deep where trees entwine a mystery unfolds a taale malign through Tangled Woods where Whispers soar lost Hiers seen no more I got a poop where's your bathroom and also give me I don't know a spatoon answer the call on the forest Breeze each ring a step closer unravel the twine find the hikers lost where the Shadows align you know I don't it's not my gas station the phone it does ring you're the owner so give it a fling well are you going to pick it up again like I just said you own this establishment it's not my phone if you betray me you'll get such a bone interesting I had a nightmare a scary man with no neck he gave me a scare that's my dad um shouldn't tell you creepy stories on your first day oh okay sure know one of the guys overheard it down at the station pretty weird right pretty weird that he heard a story or the story was pretty weird oh I was walking my dog buddy in the forest one evening I decided to explore a path I didn't know much Budd he likes to run around on his own and lost track of him he usually comes back in half an hour or so suddenly I had this urge to look at something on the ground as I crouched down to look at the ground just out of the corner of my eye I saw a man in a red sweater standing standing in front of me when I looked up at his face to say hello or something like that he disappeared I freaked out a little bit and quickly started making my way back home on the same path I got there I stopped and look around for Buddy as I turned back to continue home right in front of me there was a severed deer leg neatly placed on the forest path I have not been down that path since did you find buddy oh so I'm not trying to conjure up a list of insults to say about the game it was it was good it was I felt like it didn't have anything that really hooked me and I'm not talking like a jump scare or anything like that but it was building up a lot but it didn't actually stick any sort of mini Landing cuz if it's going to be a pilot it's got to have like I'm not saying it's got to boo oh yeah it didn't feel like it landed somewhere where it could springboard off to something else that's the only thing I'll say about that I'm not saying it's bad like all I'll say is like I like spooky woods I like spooky things in the woods I like creepy dudes at gas stations I don't like creepy dudes at gas stations but I'm saying like it just needed something to stick the landing a little more that's all to get me sprung boarded into the what it would be but good moving on welcome to rinse and repeat where I'm assuming we're going to relive the same moments over and over again and horrible things are going to happen as I do that oh I am literally rinsing and repeating uhhuh and now I'm naked uh-huh I don't need to close the door why would I why would I do that oh man yeah I also jump in the shower and then turn on the water why is there blood on the shower head Jesus this is fine okay right oh good yes oh good why would you do what flush flush why would this be the thing but I hate this cuz the thing is like I'm ready to catch something but I don't want to catch something so I okay
