In this week’s Grain to Glass homebrewing video, we fired up the Grainfather Brewing Systems to put the new Grainfather All Grain Brewing Ingredients Kits through their paces by brewing two full batches from start to finish. Here at The Malt Miller, all-grain brewing is still our favourite way to make brilliant beer at home, so when these new Grainfather recipe kits landed, we couldn’t wait to see how they performed on the Grainfather G30 and Grainfather G40 brewing systems. Rob went straight for Town Crier, a classic Best Bitter with a rich copper colour, balanced malt character, and plenty of traditional British hop flavour from Goldings and Fuggles (two varieties we’ll never get tired of using in homebrew recipes). Meanwhile, Rakey leaned fully into the hops with Bay Break West Coast IPA, packing in proper modern West Coast IPA character thanks to Centennial and Simcoe hops bringing citrus, pine, and classic “Westie” vibes throughout. This is a full Grain to Glass brewing video, so we cover the whole process from opening the ingredient kits, all through brew day, fermentation, and finally tasting the finished beers.
