She is found by her ancestors, King Rauru and Queen Sonia, who help her search for a means to return to the present era. Throughout this time, Zelda aids Rauru's royal duties, trains her light and time powers with Sonia, and explores the Depths beneath Hyrule with Mineru; on one expedition, Mineru unearths humanoid constructs that, as she later discovers, are self-aware weapons that betrayed and exterminated the Zonai race. Meanwhile, Hyrule faces hostility from the Gerudo people led by Ganondorf.
